Overview:
An entrepreneur from the age of 13, his first full time job was with KPMG while also owning and running a unique chain of retail stores. In 1980, at 24 years old, Robert became Canada's youngest full professor and founded Integrated mar.com the same year. Under his leadership, mar.com has become an international IT channel marketing company that has developed and implemented strategic go-to-market programs for 350 IT companies. In 1993 mar.com expanded into publishing and launched eChannelLine in 1997 - currently the world's leading IT daily channel eNewsletter, providing 200,000 channel members with a daily synopsis of the news they need to know. mar.com also publishes ConnectIT - the only daily online B2B channel advocate eNewsletter and Channel Advisor which provides Vendors with information on how to better leverage IT Channel members.
Robert is the founder/executive director of the ChannelLine Advisory Council , a high-level, IT industry thought leadership group comprised of 1,000 leading channel people.
Robert's largest undertaking was the development of the Trusted Business Advisor program … a program that is designed to change the way the IT channel operates. Using proven, simple, powerful, measurable and cost efficient tools, TBA allows Vendors to market and sell hardware, software and services to SMBs through qualified resellers who can sell, configure service and support IT-centric business solutions. This channel advocacy program provides VARs with: a FREE association and channel business community; a FREE complete suite of enablement tools as well as a business education and certification program.
